It may be cold outside - but there's no shortage of things to do in the garden - and if you're looking for some inspiration, come and see us soon!  Seed Potatoes, Onion sets and plenty of other veg, as well as the baby plants coming in soon, it's a great time to start planning the garden for the year ahead!  You'll also start to see the first of the Spring bulbs come through!

Now is a great time to buy your seed potatoes, ready for planting the early varieties in March.  There is a great range available these days from the traditional early favorites such as ‘Maris Bard’, ‘Lady Christi’, ‘Charlotte’ and ‘Nicola’ to main-crops like ‘King Edward’.

These stunning plants look outstanding as a centre piece of a bed, or at the back of a border.  They are full of catkins now, and have several weeks of out of season interest to look forward to before much else gets going - come and see out superb selection!

Lawn Drainage

After snow thawing it is a good time to check drainage outlets in lawns. If water is collecting on patches of lawn aerate by using a garden fork to create drainage holes in the lawn. On heavy soils, particularly clay you may need to use a hollow tine aerator to ease drainage. Other lawn jobs
